Daphne's Head Surgery

Daphne is an energetic, happy, and loving  7-year-old Golden Retriever. Daphne was rescued from an abusive home. She joined our family during her first year of life. At first, she was quiet and distant but slowly opened herself up to us, showing us the sweet and smiley personality she has.  Daphne needs to go through an urgent surgery for a large dangerous tumor located in her head, applying pressure to everything around it. It is a very invasive surgery, requiring pre-op x-rays and bloodwork as well as post-op care. Right now Daphne is unable to do some of her favorite things- activities as simple as playing with her ball. She cannot open her jaw wide enough to hold anything no matter how much effort she puts in. Daphne has overcome so much since her first days in our family. She has grown from a dog who wouldn't let anyone touch her, hidding under the table with her tail between her legs, into a dog who will squeeze into any physically possible position to be touching a person. She is the friendliest and most innocent dog and we know she can overcome this with a little help. We know that this is an extremely difficult time for everyone, but if you have any ability to share this Christmas season, it would be enormously appreciated.
