Danny raise money for private speech therapy

Hi my name is Danny Keith Hogan and I suffered severe Apraxia after I contracted Covid 19 which left me in an induced coma for my safety. I have been in hospital for 15 months after being left paralysed by extreme muscle wastage.

I have spent months repairing my damaged lungs, getting my kidneys functioning and learning to walk and eat again.

I suffered a bleed on the brain which they have labelled a stroke in the last 3 months.

Ive been told I’m going home on 1st February which is a relief and life can start again.

I was originally told that I would never speak again because my soft palate wasn’t working but it started in October and though determination and hard work I’ve far exceeded what they ever thought I would.

They've called it nothing sort of miraculous but I still need help improving.

I’ve been told the NHS don’t provide funding for Apraxia so I have to go private.

So I am having to raise money for this.

I have calculated the cost to be £94.88 per hour session, with a initial consultation being £200 with an estimated one session a week for 6 months.

I can’t say K or G sounds so I need assistance with this amongst other things.

I know what I want to say I just need to relearn how to do it.

If there’s any money left over I will donate it to the Alzheimer’s association in memory of my dad that past away with it 2 years ago.

I want to be able to speak normally so I can read to children again and get to working again where I normally talk a lot, some say too much!!!
