Danny and Caysie Need Your Help

As many of you know, or are now learning, Danny Tolbert was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday, September 30th, near his home on Whidbey Island. Luckily, Danny was discovered by a nearby resident and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center Trauma ICU within hours of the accident. Miraculously, Danny has not suffered any catastrophic organ damage; however, he has suffered numerous broken facial bones, a fractured sternum, along with a shattered right pelvis. Danny has already been in and out of surgeries and will continue to have surgeries over the next 6 months. Multiple doctors have told us that Danny is lucky to be alive, let alone to have not suffered any neurological or other major organ damage but that his road to recovery will not be quick or easy. Danny’s wife Caysie, and his two young children Lily and Ryder, have been strong throughout these terrifying days. Fortunately, Danny and his family have started to receive an out-pour of love and generosity from their family and Whidbey community. They are so thankful for those who have stepped in to help with covering work shifts for Caysie, childcare and transportation, meals and keeping the home a safe and comforting place for their children, so that Caysie can be at the hospital as much as possible to help with Danny’s medical decisions and recovery. We are confident that Danny will be back to work at some point to be able to contribute financially to his family, home and community.

The hope is that this page will help his family focus more on keeping a stable environment for his children and Danny’s recovery than the financial burden at this time and over the months to come.
