This woman doesn’t need a single introduction…but we will sure try our very best in this moment to share what you already know about her. In late February 2020, big news of Cancer arrived…
Danielle Doby is a magic-filled, beauty-filled, word-filled, love-filled, extra love for dogs-filled: daughter, sister, best-friend, wordsmith, observer, seeker in a wild world that is now presenting it’s most challenging moment for here as she moves through the diagnosis, and now the treatment of invasive ductal carcinoma which is a type of Breast Cancer. It’s stage-2, aggressive, yet treatable. For the rest of 2020 she’ll be receiving a protocol of Chemo/Radiation/and Surgery’s. She’s opting into a double mastectomy. She’s shaved her head this week (3/8) as this form of chemo will 100% cause hair-loss.
If there was a Do Not Ask For Help Ever, club-house, Danielle would be at the top of the tree-house as Captain No-Help, offering snacks, anything and everything she owned, a shoulder to cry on, a signed copy of her book, and dog snuggles. She is the absolute worst at receiving one of the things she is the absolute best at giving: help.
That’s why we’re coming together today. To give Danielle the boost she needs to stay focused on healing and not on hustling. A true artist, Danielle’s income source for the last several years comes entirely from creative-driven projects. It’s not possible to continue those right now. Her next book release is on-hold.
What is raised in this forum will go entirely to the expense of life with cancer: medical bills that exceed insurance thresholds, daily life expenses made challenging due to not being able to work, it takes down the burden of the day to day.
If you’re reading this, then this much is true: Danielle’s words have touched you. You have healed from them in some small, or some large way. Now it’s our time to do the same for our friend.
We’ll be posting regular updates here. And responding regularly. While Danielle would love to connect with each of you, weekly chemo makes it tough to be alert and responding, keep the messages to her coming though, she reads them all.
