Our Dear Friend Dani was in a horrible accident on Saturday with her horse, while riding with her daughter.
Her Husband Nate's explanation is below:
My wife Danielle Dressel came off one of our horses the other night while our family was riding down the road. She suffered a severe head injury and was air lifted to North Memorial and is in a medical induced coma. She has a fractured skull in the back of her head near the neck and bleeding and contusions/swelling/shift on her brain. She’s in the ICU for now and expected to be here for the immediate future. Austin was riding with her and Danielle did an AMAZING job making sure Austin wasn’t hurt but in exchange didn’t protect herself for the fall leading to severe injuries.
And from her Mom:
On Saturday evening while out on a family horseback ride, my daughter Danielle came off her horse on a gravel road. She had her daughter Austin with her, and being the good mama that she is, her reaction was to keep her daughter safe. As she was coming off, she turned her body and hung on to Austin in order to protect her from the fall. This meant that Dani took a big hit. Austin is just fine with minor bruising, but Dani suffered a severe brain injury. She is currently in intensive care at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale Minnesota. She fractured the back of her skull, has contusions in her frontal lobe and temporal lobe along with some swelling. They are keeping her in an induced coma with a breathing tube to help her heal.
This family has a long road ahead and finances need to be the least of their worries while Dani is trying to heal. Her husband has their 2 children to care for, his job and trying to be there constantly for Dani. He dosent need the extra stress of getting another job to take care of everyday bills.
I am setting up this Go Fund me so they can be blessed with no worries financially and their focus can be 100% on Dani's recovery.
