When the news broke on July 18th of a man being attacked by a pack of dogs never did I imagine it would hit so close to home. (http://www.everythinglubbock.com/news/video/man-attacked-by-pack-of-dogs_20170718170159/768373247) When I opened Facebook to see Daniel Stevens wife, Katrina, share the following post:
"So...I don't even know where to begin. I'm sort of out of words at this point, but God has given me this scripture more than once today since he saved my husband's life. Daniel was mauled by 7 big dogs at our house in the country this morning while he was looking for our dogs who had gotten out. He was afraid these dogs who run wild would kill our dogs but they circled & attacked him instead. As he was throwing them to the ground one by one & fighting for his life, he was crying out to God for help! Miraculously some farm workers heard him from the farm behind ours (even though one of them was on a tractor that was running). It's nearly impossible that they heard him over the tractor and from that far away. Today God answered my husband's cry for help & he sent angels to his rescue! I give praise to my Lord and savior for hearing his cry!! I want to say to you that whatever desperate situation you are in cry out to God. He will never leave us or forsake us."

Since that post Daniel has had surgery to start the physical healing, been discharged, and admitted back to the hospital. We have been able to watch the hand of God provide for this family in miraculous ways over the past few days and I believe that He isn't done yet. The road is going to be long for this family. My hope is for their village to stand in the gap to help provide financially, be there physically, and pray continually for the Stevens family.
Many hands make for light work and I cannot wait to see this be a small part of their testimony of God's faithfulness during this season.
