Update 10/16/2022
Daniel is doing great. They found a bug (virus) in his new heart, but the antibiotics are taking care of it. He is still in the hospital, and it will be a long road to recovery, but we are grateful and blessed. Please also keep in your prayers the family of the HERO who gave their heart and saved Daniel's life.

Update from Daniel 10/7/22
I got a second chance at life.. I don't know how or why but these past 37 days have been the worst/ best days of my life!! I went from laying in hospital dying to 2 days later.. almost back to my normal self!!! I had heart failure , liver failure and kidney failure... all at the same time.... my liver and kidneys healed on their own... I swear that I am the most humblest person that you will ever meet... but this humbled me even more!!!! Everyone one has been so supportive of me and I appreciate it!!! There are special people who have been put in my life that have made things easier family.. close friends.. and even Facebook friends who've I never saw in person a day in my life... I'm not trying to be annoying but I have to share my story from time to time!!!! I have to get back home to be with my family!!! I have a potential going home date but I'm not telling anyone. So don't be surprised when I just pop up lol!!! Prayer worked for me .. that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Update 10/3/2022
Our family didn't get any sleep last night! With the anesthesia, not only did Daniel get some sleep, but he got a new heart!!! Yes! You read right! Daniel got his new heart! When he went into surgery, he was happy and excited, which is how he is most of the time anyway. He is a big kid with a big heart, and now he is a big kid with a newer big heart. It will be a long recovery, and we thank you all for your continued prayers and monetary support.

Update 9/19/22
Even with Daniel being in the hospital for a heart transplant, he still shows love and compassion for others. Here is what he said:
"There is this 16 year old kid in the room next to me and he is in such high spirits... I was sad for him at first but once I started talking to him I saw no fear in him....and he is soo humble.. that's my lil homie now!! "
Please keep Daniel and his little homie in your prayers.

Original Post:
Hi, My name is Terri-Ann Sidberry. I am doing this fundraiser for my nephew Daniel Horne. Some of you affectionately call him Gunther McElroy :-)
Daniel was hospitalized last week in West Palm Beach, Florida. His condition was so critical that when they finally stabilized him, he was heliported to a hospital in Gainsville, Florida, specializing in organ transplants.
As always, Daniel is trying to stay in good spirits for us, but right now, we have to be strong for him so that he can also focus on himself.
Insurance is limited, and his wife, Staci, having to travel back and forth (over 4 hours one way) from west palm beach is not covered at all. Daniel has four children that depend on him. Three of which are school age which adds another financial burden to the issue of having someone keep them when Staci goes to visit.
All donations will be put toward:
1. Gas for Staci to travel back and forth from WPB to Gainsville (4 hours one way)
2. Lodging for Staci when she goes to Gainsville
3. Medical bills
4. Child care
5. Food or whatever else is needed because Staci will be missing a lot of work.

Your prayers and support are needed and appreciated.
