Danica needs back surgery!

As a postpartum nurse at RiverBend hospital In Springfield, Oregon, Danica Stiles has helped many women and families. She has been there to celebrate and embrace new life with some, and has been there to care for and nurture those who have endured horrific losses. Nursing is her life's work, along with being a devoted wife to her husband Geoff and mother to two beautiful young girls. As beautiful inside as she is out, Danica is loved and admired by her friends, family and co-workers. Last fall, Danica began experiencing severe leg and back pain. This last spring she was diagnosed with multiple fractures along her spinal column, requiring extensive back surgery which may leave her with altered sensation and mobility in one of her legs. Danica, who is the primary earner for her family of 4, is facing being off work up to 4 months in order to heal her back. Her husband Geoff will need to remain at home to be her and the children's caretaker during her prolonged recovery. Danica and Geoff are humble people, and likely wouldn't ask for help if their own accord. So that is why, as one of Danica's best friends, I am asking on their behalf.
