The Latvian girl's dancing future

First time in my life I really, truly believed in myself after I saw my name on the paper, announcing the winners of the dancing P.A.R.T.S' audition. That I CAN do it and that I deserve to do it. Latvia is a small nation but with people full with burning energy to DO MORE and DO BIGGER THINGS.
My name is RÅ«ta Pakalne and I am 21, studying at the Latvian Academy of Culture "“ contemporary dance choreography department. Out of 1032 students across the world, I was one of 50 people selected to study at the internationally distinguished school P.A.R.T.S (www.parts.be). Its director is the acclaimed choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Only one other Latvian has had this acknowledgement.
To be a dancer in Latvia is never "a job" like in the western parts of Europe. That is why I want to study in Brussels, it would be a great way to be introduced with the 'BIG' dance world and I could learn a lot from it. I know that living outside of Latvia for me doesn't mean never coming back, for me it means getting greater and better experience outside and then coming back and changing something in the 'system'.
To receive this opportunity, to study in one of the best dance schools would be a huge opportunity for me and I would do the best to show the name of my small country Latvia; we as nations can manage to influence each other.
But because I can't pay this kind of money for this school, because I just don't have it or my parents don't have it, I have to find ways to get it.
To attend P.A.R.T.S: 12 000 EUR (4.500 registration fee + 3x 2.500 tuition fee)
This is the most exciting time of my life, because I feel like everything is really changing and I hope that some big doors will open, because I really want to dance and live in Brussels. I know it will be a good thing for me in a professional and personal way.
