Chasing My Dreams to Los Angeles!

Donation protected
First off I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to open a link to my page and consider listening to my story. My name is Jessica, and I am a dancer desperately chasing my one and only dream. "I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say, because of you I didn't give up."

I was recently given the honor of being accepted into the Millenium Dance Certificate Program in Los Angeles California! This two month program starting in June is everything I could have ever dreamed of, and where my heart is telling me to go. Unfortunately, my heart and my wallet are not seeing eye to eye at the moment. I refuse to let this keep me from pursuing the opportunity of a life time. I am doing all I can to earn the money while still studying at Illinois State University, but i'm afraid I will still need some help.

I ask you from the bottom of my heart, if you believe in the beauty of following your dreams, to please help me in my efforts to make mine come true. Below I have posted part of my application and letter of reccomendation letter for your viewing. If I am given the opportunity to set foot on that plane I will truely be carrying so much more with me than just my luggage.

What value will you bring to this program?

“I am motivated to excel on so much more than an individual basis. This is not only a phenomenal opportunity for me to grow as a dancer, performer, and person; it is also an opportunity for my students current and future. I strive to better myself each and every day to be my personal best as a dancer, but also to be the best role model I possibly can for all the shining faces that look up to me in the classroom. In Normal Illinois the dance community is fairly small, and there are few opportunities to branch out. I want more for myself and my students. I would bring the value of absorbency to the program in high hopes of obtaining all the inspiration and knowledge I can to bring and give back to the dancers here. I am not only bringing myself to the program, but the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of many other dancers as well.”

“Jessica’s enthusiasm for the art of dance is contagious and she is an excellent role model for our students at the Next Step Dance Studio. The students and parents continuously ask for Miss Jessica to be their instructor. Her ability to put herself in new and challenging situations is a sign of maturity and confidence.”
