Dance Images: Under Construction

"Creating good people, not just great dancers since 1992!" 

Gerry Unger has been a member of the dance & theatre community in Southern Alberta for over 30 years. Sharing her passion for dance at her studios in Coaldale and Taber, and choreographing for numerous musicals at Catholic Central High School, the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge Musical Theatre, Cardston Carriage House Theatre just to name a few!

She has taught and mentored countless students over the years and everyone who has crossed her path knows she wears her heart on her sleeve and countless hours she puts into every student and project. Her dedication to her work, the inspiring way she pushes each person she encounters to be the best dancer but more importantly person they can be doesn't go unnoticed!

Coaldale has been the home of Dance Images for the past 26 years. Just over a year ago, everyone at the Studio was evacuated by the fire department due to toxic air quality and detrimental building structure that countless kids found their love of dance and lifelong dance family.  Within 3 hours, EVERYTHING (costumes, piano, mirrors, barres, pictures, furniture... everything) was loaded into 50+ of the AMAZING dance families cars,  trucks and trailers. It was heartbreaking for all, losing our second home and safe place. The studio was dancing in 5 different locations throughout the town of Coaldale (sometimes all at one time) last year... it was quite a year.... but the beautiful blessing that came out of it was the ability to have a new studio being built (right at this very second and onto it's finishing stages of construction).

From the support from Community of Coaldale, the investors, Harper Chiropractic, the team at Canastone Contracting, the present and past teachers, dancers and families, without each and every one of you, the new studio under construction being wouldn't be possible! 

This campaign has been made to offset costs for materials, flooring for inside and outside the studios, plumbing and electric fixtures and the last minute, unforeseen costs of construction. By raising this money the cost of rent for the studio and tuition for dancers the following year will not sky rocket. The new studio will have 3 studios, special Sport Court flooring in all three studios, a girls and boys dressing room, an office, many windows to view the dancers... but most importantly, a safe and healthy space for the Dance Images family and supporters.
