Dan Upton Memorial Throws

Dan Upton sadly passed in december 2020 which was a big shock to all that knew Dan, he was a big supporter of the Wounded Highlanders and was planning a fund raising event for the team. With Tammi's permission ( Dan's Wife) we have decided it would be great to keep Dan's plan alive.

This event will raise funds for the Wounded Highlanders which is the only adaptive highland games team in the UK and all members are injured military veterans, Dan was a massive supporter and had planned on attending our sessions and help train the guys and girls ahead of their season in 2021.

The funds will aid the team in training and supporting the members during training and attending events, there will also be a Dan Upton Memorial trophy created that will be awarded to a team member every year for there dedication and commitment to the team and their efforts through out each season.

The event will run on the first weekend of March 2021 which will be the 6th and 7th, this will be a throwing virtual event and anyone can take part, we will have an event t-shirt made for all to purchase as an entry fee.

There will also be prizes to be won by individuals taking part.
