Dan Needs a Kidney
Donation protected
As many of you know, my husband Dan has a kidney disease that makes it necessary for him to undergo a kidney transplant. That transplant is happening now. Our goal, and the goal of Dan's doctors, has always been to get him a kidney before dialysis becomes necessary. Luckily, a donor organ has come up that is a wonderful match for Dan.
Dan graduated from Dunwoody Univeristy in May and has since been working as an electrician, but his benefits from that job have not kicked in yet, so he doesn't have any short term disability. The problem that we're forseeing is covering the costs of both the medical expenses (hospital bills, medication, etc.) and the expenses of day-to-day living while Dan is recovering.
Normally, I am not the type of person to ask for help like this, but I realize that in this case, we need to ask for help from others. My priority is making sure Ian is taken care of while Dan is recovering. The health and happiness of our little boy has to come first.
I know that money is tight for a lot of people, so if you cannot help out, I completely understand. If you can help in any small way, anything and everything is appreciated. We cannot thank you enough for any help you are willing and able to give.
