SF Photo instructors stolen camera

Our good friend Dan Foley has been a San Francisco Bay Area photographer for over 10 years. He has taught a number of photo workshops, he has given lectures on lighting and composition and he has hosted a variety of photo meet-ups around the Bay Area.
Dan Foley gives selflessly, without ever asking for anything in return. Dan’s love for photography is passed on through his images and his teachings.
On June 5th Dan went to his local Camera store and with great excitement traded in his old DSLR kit and bought a new FujiFilm Camera set. This lighter camera would be a better fit for his style of shooting. 
Unfortunately, Dan was not able to use this new system for long. As he was walking home from BART, Dan was attacked and robbed. He texted me around 8:00 pm to let me know that thieves had stolen his camera system. I felt so much anger and sadness. How could this happen to such a nice person, someone so generous and caring?

This morning Dan was depressed and defeated. He is now thinking of moving out of state, and he feels the Bay area may no longer be an option for him.
Please help us give Dan the opportunity to recover his lost faith in the Bay Area. Please help us fund some of his gear, hopefully this will contribute to keeping this great photographer in the Bay Area.
