Damon's Cardiac Journey,Help Needed

Donation protected
On July 14th, 2017, my husband, soulmate and best friend in this whole world suffered a cardiac arrest and our lives will never be the same! We were on the Harley, headed out for a nice couples weekend and we pulled over to get something to drink in Weed, CA ...about 5 minutes later, I was in the restroom and the clerk came runnning in screaming that my husband had fallen down and hurt his head. As I ran into the lobby of the convenience store, I found him lying on the ground suffering from a huge head wound. As I was trying to stop the bleeding from his head, he stopped breathing....right before my eyes. I have never been more scared in my entire life. I watched him turn purple, his eyes roll back and I couldn't get a pulse.... I knew he was slipping away from me. Somehow I had enough sense about me to get on top of him and start CPR. I performed CPR on him for 3 minutes until help arrived and they continued CPR on him for 3 more minutes and then had to shock his heart to get a pulse back.  I remember just praying that God would bring him back to me and heal him. We were then taken by ambulance to Mercy Shasta and he was placed on a ventilator and sedated. We were transferred again via ambulance to Mercy Redding where we stayed in the ICU for 5 nights. During this period of time we were hoping and praying he had not suffered brain damage during his incident and had to wait for him to wake up to find out. Miraculously, he woke up ( very confused and scared) and has made improvements every day since.  They have him on three heart medications and inserted a pacemaker/defibrullator in his chest as a backup plan. We found out he has a hereditary heart defect that is very rare and not fixable ( other than what we are doing now). So now, we are at home taking it day by day....his only job at this time is to rest, remain calm and get better  As you know, he was the breadwinner for our family, I am now the only one working and the bills are not going to stop for us. We can use any help you may be able to offer at this time so he can focus on healing and I can take care of the rest. Me and the kids are beyond grateful to have Big Daddy here with us, he is nothing short of a miracle. I thank God that it wasn't his time to go yet and for helping me do the right things when it counted the most. If you can not contribute financially, please pray for his continued healing and mine as well. WE BELIEVE!
