Baby Damien

James and Danica lost their first baby May of 2016 at six months pregnant. They were very devastated from the lost of their unborn child but was given another chance when they discovered they were pregnant again with Damien a few months later.

We have been praying that Danica would be able to carry full term since she has been told that she will never be able to carry one but we knew it was one thing in life that she wanted.

Damien was born on July 17, 2017 @ 1:44 AM weighing 7lbs, 1oz, length 19 1/4 inches. When Damien came to this world, he looked so healthy and we didn't think anything was wrong until that same night he had not eaten for over 12 hours and he started to spit up some green stuff which gave the doctors a red flag that there was something wrong with him. They transported Damien to Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and was tested for what they suspected he had which was Intestinal Atresia, it's a blockage in his intestines. Danica had to discharge herself after only a day in the hospital and did not have enough time to let herself heal to rush to Damien with her husband.

Damien had his surgery today, July 19, 2017, to have his Large intestines connected. It was a successful surgery and we couldn't be any happier for both James and Danica. He will be going through more testing to make sure everything is working properly.

They are not the type of people who would ask for help that is why I am doing this for them because their medical bills have piled up and Damien has to be in the NICU for a little while and both of them will be out of work during this process.
