Life truly is Gods greatest blessing & sadly four very beautiful lives entered into eternal peace yesterday. One being a loving father, son, brother, cousin, & friend. I started this gofundme for my cousin DeMarkkus Johnson who was the passenger in yesterdays accident. I ask that if you can & are able to please donate. All proceeds will go to his family for final arrangements. DeMarkkus did have insurance but we all know how expensive things such as a funeral can really cost. FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas – Four people were killed in a head-on crash near La Grange on Sunday.
According to KVUE’s partners at the Austin American-Statesman, a sedan and pickup crashed around 11:45 a.m. June 25 along County Road 159, around four miles from La Grange. The driver of the sedan, 26-year-old Sherry Williams, died in the crash. Demarkkus Johnson, 25, and a 3-year-old girl who were in the sedan with Williams also died.
The driver of the pickup, 48-year-old Juan Benavidez, was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. Two others were also treated for their injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been released as of 7:30 a.m. Monday.
