Damaris' Medical Treatment Fund

Donation protected

A couple months ago my sister, Damaris who is just 26 and recently married this year has been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune  neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis.  A disease that weakens the muscles but only 5% of people in the world has it where it affects the legs.  She's been battling since 2013, not knowing why her legs were always giving out and only was able to walk half the day, other times only in the morning. Her disease kept progressing only getting worse and before we knew it, she was depending on a wheelchair. Recently it got so bad that her legs giving out wasnt her biggest worry, but instead her muscles started getting weak in her upper body affecting her talking and breathing. She was rushed to the hospital and intubated because she could not breathe on her own anymore. Doctors said Myasthenia is incurable but managable with treatments. So they tried multiple plasma infusions, and had  positive results, but she still has many infusions to go before a full recovery and possibly infusions for the rest of her life, thats costing thousands of dollars.

Her insurance won't cover the treatment due to an unreasonable time frame of 5 days to meet their deductibles which they cannot afford, and if insurance still covers the treatments Damaris still needs to pay for 20% each treatment which most likely will be for the rest of her life. And this is only if she gets to keep her job, without it she won't have insurance at all and the medications and infusions she's taking would have to be paid out of pocket way before she can apply with another insurance.  So she needs as much support financially for all the medical bills. If you could spare anything to help her afford the nessesary treatments, and help my sister recover, giving her back her mobility and health. If you cannot donate financially we are ultimately looking to spread the word and gain as many prayers as we can for Damaris.

Any donation you give will be greatly appreciated!
-Thank you

Sarah who recovered recently from Myasthenia came to encourage her during her second plasma infusion.  During Damaris'  first plasma infusion she crashed and had to be intubated..she was so scared that it would happen again but Sarah coming was able to keep her calm and reassured.
