Memorial for my Dad

Donation protected
My dad Arthur Ingold was born November 1939. He was the most caring, quiet and loving man you'll meet, he took early retirement so he could take care of my mum 25 years ago. He loved to walk everywhere, he loved horse racing and quiz shows. Unfortunately just over 4 years ago, his concentration and memory started to get worse, he was suffering from dementia. I took redundancy from where I worked to become his full time carer.

With dementia comes many other complications, and at the beginning of May 2020 he had to go to hospital with a chest infection.

He was in hospital for 3 weeks and because of Covid, i only managed to see him once for 10 minutes in that 3 weeks, for a dementia sufferer I can only imagine how hard and confusing for him that was.

We managed a get some family together last year for his 80th Birthday which was nice. and also raised a few hundred pounds for Alzheimer's Society.

After 3 weeks in hospital he was due to come home, I sorted his bedroom out, the lovely NHS supplied a new bed, I was all ready for his home coming when I got the dreaded phone call saying he had passed away.

I managed to lay his ashes down with his mum and dad. and organised the interment to coincide with his 81st birthday on 30th November 2020.

But the current headstone is in a bad condition and costs a small fortune to sort out or replace. I soo want to sort it out for him. I hope I can sort it out soon for him, with a bit of help. someone told to try this website, once I've sorted it if anything left over, will give another donation to the Alzheimer's Society.

Thank you for taking your time read my story, fingers crossed.
