Hello World! I'm Morgan & I'm looking to embark on a journey to continue my Yoga Teacher Training in the jungle of Costa Rica!
After completing my initial 200 hour training last June 2017, I've been teaching yoga full-time in and around Boston, MA. I love it. It's my dream life! Sharing my true joy & passion each day is an experience I hope for each one of you along your journey.
Heading into 2018, I was determined to continue my education in the field of yoga teaching. My mindset being "the more educated the teacher, the more she can offer her students." I began to research 300 hour RYTT (registered yoga teacher training) programs right away!
The price tag scared me away. $5,000 was the norm! I understand the value of this experience & how it will truly further my career, however, my current income from teaching is JUST ENOUGH to support me in Boston, with little room to maintain a tangible savings.
I found the program at Passion Yoga School that is a 5-week immersion program where I'll go to Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica for 35 days to consequitively learn more about the business of yoga, how to hone my teaching/cueing/demoing skills & learn from a whole new set of experienced teachers. When I explained my current financial stresses, as I know we all have--the school GENEROUSLY granted me a $1,000 scholarship towards my tuition to be in the June 23rd - July 27th class! Holy gratitude.
July 27th, 2018 is my 30th birthday. I couldn't think of a better way to ring in 30 than being in the jungle with what will become a new family learning more about my passion and my life's work.
In addition to building my personal yoga brand, daisyface flow, I am a woman in recovery & have been sober from drugs & alcohol since November 8th, 2015.
In January 2016, I was given the opportunity to participate in a Boston-based charity program called NamaStay Sober. As their first member, I was sponsored for a year of yoga & mentored by the charity's founder, Nicoletta Longo. My love for this practice is a direct result of my participation & continued involvement in their community as a member on the board.
In January 2018, I was hired by NamaStay Sober as their Director of Memberships. It's an honor and a privelege to be able to contribute to providing new members, just like I was, the opportunity to find inner peace & serenity as a result of yoga, boxing, or rock climbing scholarships.
From someone who has caused a lot of pain throughout my time of active addiction, I'm looking now to devote the rest of my sober life to helping other people heal. We are all in recovery from something & are here in this life to help one another, not hurt.
I'm asking for any small donation you wish to contribute to help me pay my tution for the PYS 300hr YTT program. I'll be providing my own airfare through picking up as many extra classes as I can between now & then! No amount is too small nor will go unnoticed. Your continued love & support means more to me than you'll ever know <3
