Daisy's Knee Surgery

Hey There, this is Daisy Mae. I'm a 1 year old pitbull that was rescued by my owner, John Stone.
That's me on the right!
I really really love other dogs! My favorite activity was going to the dog park and playing with my buddies. John took me every day and I never got tired of chasing, wrestling, and playing tug of war with my favorite dogs. I was gentle with little pups but I could also hold my own with dogs twice my size!
That's me and Aussie. Aussie was just a pup and was afraid of other big dogs, but I welcomed him to the park and played gently with him. His owners liked me so much, they would bring him in any time I was around!
But then I got hurt. I liked to run around with dogs that were more agile than I am, and I would twist and turn to keep up with them. All it took was a few wrong turns and my knee hurt so bad that I cried (I'm a tough little sucker, but this time it really hurt) and then I left the dog park and haven't been back since.
John took me to a surgeon who fixed my knee and now I am in recovery. I have a few more weeks to go before I can start playing with other dogs again. John could have opted out of the surgery, but he knew how much I liked to play with other dogs, and he knew that I was just a puppy still, with lots of years ahead of me to run and play.
John has been so good to me. He iced my knee twice a day, every day, for two weeks. He set up a special place in his office so I could sit with him while he worked. He bought tons of new throw rugs so that I would have something to grip when I walked around the house (I did chew those up, too, because I was frustrated that I couldn't go to the park to play with my buddies). He even took his bed apart so that I could sleep with him at night.
So now I want to do something good for John. He has to pay $4,000 to cover the expenses of my surgery. He didn't have to do it, but wanted to, because he loves me so much. And I love him too! That's why I'm asking if you can donate a little bit of money to help John cover the expense of this surgery. It would mean a lot to him, and most importantly, it would mean a lot to me! After all, I can only give him so many kisses to thank him for his help in getting me back in tip-top shape!
Even if we don't raise all the money, just a little bit will help John cover the expenses while he helps me make a full recovery. Ok, it's time for me to go on another walk like the doctor prescribed. Thanks so much for helping me help John!
