Help my mom keep her home

My stepfather recently, and unexpectedly, died during his sleep.

Long story short, my mother - one of the most generous people I know - is now facing the prospect of losing her own home.

With little to no savings and only Social Security as her primary income, there is a nearly 100% chance she will lose the house unless she gets some help.

I am sincerely asking for that assistance.

She does have the ability to sell the house at some point, but right now she is facing the prospect of falling behind in mortgage payments (let alone utilities, food, etc).

I would love to be able to raise enough to help her maintain her residence while we try to figure this out. She is a proud woman and would feel ashamed to know that the world is aware of this, but as her son, I can't think of any other way, given the details of the situation.
