help with medical expenses

On Aug. 24th while Shane was loading a car onto his trailer, the winch that he was using to load this car with slipped.  That ultimately let the car roll freely down the trailer and the ramps, dragging Shane with it.  Shane's legs were under the car while it dragged him.  His right leg was scraped and cut badly.  At the ER they said that he cut his leg down to the bone and that his ankle bone was chipped.  He ended up staying in hospital and have surgery to clean out the wound and to stitch it up from the inside out.  He has a long way to go for recovery and not really sure if the hole in his ankle will ever really close up. Shane hauls cars for a living and because of this injury was out of work.  He is self employed with no health insurance and now the hospital and medical bills are starting to roll in.  He was just starting to get back on his feet after this covid thing, now with the extra medical bills things are not good.  He is not asking for a lot but $5000 would really help him keep the collectors off his back.
