A Tribute To My Dad

My name is Taylor Gage. On February 9, 2015, my father, Tony Gage, was killed in a motorcycle accident. My dad impacted many people's lives and was a mentor to many. My dad was not just my dad, he was my best friend, mentor, my biggest fan, and my role model. My father worked very hard so he and I could play hard. I always had a love of motorcycles because of my dad and we would always go on rides with no destination in mind. Now there is no more chances to go for a ride with my dad because of someone's negligence. My dad always taught me to help people, and I hope people can help me now. My father's Harley Davidson was totalled and taken by a local tow company. The insurance company of the person who killed my dad said if they had to pay for the bike that they would keep it and auction it off. The tow company continues to charge us each day to keep the bike, which we cannot touch until the investigation is over. I would like to buy my dad's motorcyle back. I plan to take all of the pieces and the totalled bike and create a large memorial piece as a tribute to the legend my father was. After I finish the piece, it will be lowered 10,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico. As of now, the cost to get the bike back is $1086.32 and each day the total grows. I will not be able to get the bike back until the police allow me to, unfortunately the tow company is continuing to charge me. I am currently enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and cannot afford to buy the bike back without help. If I cannot raise the money, they will auction my dad's bike. If I am able to get the motorcycle for under what I raise, the rest of the money will help me pay for all the tools and metal I will need to make the piece. I love my dad with all my heart and that motorcycle means a lot to me. Please find it in your heart to help me achieve my goal. If you cannot donate, please share my page.
