Maggie's life saving surgery debt

Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and maybe strangers. We're not the type of people that like to ask for help but we may have found ourselves in a bit of a sticky situation. You see about four years ago we met and adopted our dog Maggie, and she has single-handedly changed our lives for the better. We're happier healthier and have had an absolute blast with her. Every day she enriches our lives and we couldn't be more grateful to know her! Then about two years ago she developed a mouth tumor, but thankfully that was easily removed with very minor surgery, and we were relieved for a time. But then not even 6 months later Maggie developed a tumor in her bladder, and she was given 6 months to live. We were devastated. We put her on Piroxicam not expecting much good of it, but eventually we started to make peace with  the idea of not having much time left with our beloved family member. Surprisingly, though, a year went by and Maggie hadn't changed at all. We concluded Maggie was going to last longer then expected and we finally felt brave enough to go on our honey moon (we didn't want to plan it around a possible tragedy!) Then we returned home and realized Maggie had blood dripping from her mouth. The tumor had come back. We were distraught, how could we have missed it? The vet acknowledged the bladder tumor was most likely getting pretty bad by now and with this other tumor back, she concluded this was definitely the end for Maggie, and we should look into euthansia. But we wanted to see one last specialist to be sure. That's where the story gets better, you see Maggie is apparently a medical marvel. After testing, not only did they discover her Bladder tumor had barely changed at all in a year, but her mouth tumor was still operable. The biggest problem was going to be the money, but Maggie's body was so strong she wasn't even acting sick in spite of the pain in her mouth. Even though the bladder tumor was still very much present, we had hope if we operated at least on her mouth the bladder tumor could stay at bay for another year, maybe more. It felt worth the risk and we felt we had to do it for Maggie's sake. We refused to give up on her if she herself couldn't even slow down for a second! Amazingly the surgery went much better then expected. She's missing more teeth, her nose is a little crooked and she has some Joker scars underneath her sheep wool hair, but she pulled through with flying colors. She sprang into action right out surgery and with an Elizabethan collar on began to bump into literally everything in the world without stopping for even a moment to reconsider. Maggie continued to be a force and nothing was going to stop her, not even cancer! The surgeon could declare with confidence her mouth, at the very least, was now cancer free (hopefully for good this time!). And then came the bill, which at the time wasn't sooooo bad. And then my wife was suddenly out of work. And then my hours got cut. And here we are in a bit of a financial pickle. Now i know we can pull through, we just have to hustle. But it is a lot of things to happen in an extremely short amount of time. I figure then, at the very least, we'd make this page and make a simple request for donations from anyone who wants to help. We're not expecting the goal to be met at all, just a couple bucks here and there would help us out a lot until we can get this situation stabilized. Even if you just want to leave a tip for Maggie for being so gorgeous and continuing to kick cancer's ass on three separate occasions! (If you have any leads for a junior web developer too that'd also help me out ;) ) Whatever works! Thank you for taking to the time to read my little tale. We all sincerely appreciate it ! Have a wonderful day!
