Keith's Medical Fund

Our father, Keith Fredrickson, was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer on April 25th, 2018, a week after his 67th birthday. What started off as uncomfortable back pain became excruciating within a few weeks time and he began to cough up blood. After multiple tests, they discovered masses in three different parts of his body. One at his spine that had caused a fracture to his T7 vertebrae, a 4 cm spot on his right lung, and a 8 cm spot on his left adrenal gland.  In hopes of alleviating some of the pain, they went immediately in and performed surgery at the location on his spine to do a biopsy, injected bone glue to fuse the fracture and did a heat wave treatment of the area as an attempt to kill off any cancerous cells remaining. Since then he has had biopsies done of his adrenal gland and lung. He is just about to start his journey with 15 treatments of radiation and then he will begin chemotherapy until the full course of treatment has been determined. Nobody expects to hear a Cancer diagnosis of a loved one, so it came even more of a shock when we discovered it was Lung cancer. If you know him, then you know he has never smoked a day in his life. You should also know what a loving, generous and extraordinary man he is. He is always the first person in line to help whoever is in need, no matter what the occasion or hour of the day. Our wish by making this account is that we will be able to help alleviate some of the financial stress for the upcoming medical costs, allowing him to focus all his strength and energy for his healing during all the future treatments and trials.
