Help Grandios Fam Fight Cancer

One of the Life Teen directors at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, La, Kip Faulk, is in daily contact with a very Catholic, Mexican-American family who has an urgent need. Their sister, Raquel Grandios, a wife and mother, is battling Stage 3 breast cancer and cannot afford the only treatment that has a rate of success. She is in Salamanca, Mexico and they have consulted with a physician in Mexico City who is hopeful that through 10 very specific cancer treatments (each costing roughly $1,500 out of pocket due to unaccessible health insurance coverage), she may be able to progress toward remission. Their family, specifically her husband and brother, are determined to help her fight this battle with as much aid as possible, so they currently reside and work in the Acadiana area and send nearly 90% of their paychecks back to Mexico in a relentless effort to collect enough funds neccessary for her treatments. A well-respected family and public figure in the Salamanca area, the Grandios' have sold their vehicles, cattle, horses, and property to seek medical help for Raquel. Currently the family has barely scratched the surface of the tremendous financial undertaking that this battle is calling for; therefore, the Life Teen group of High School Teens of Sts. Peter and Paul Church are adopting the Grandios family as an outreach mission of prayer and financial contribution raised solely by means of appeal and awareness. The group is devoted to helping in a proactive way so that with every effort the only thing standing in the way of her survival does NOT have to be money!
