Ray Simms Drunk Driver Victim

On the night of July 4, Ray was riding home on his motorcycle on Interstate 580 - the Altamont, when he was hit by a 25 year old woman under the influence. He was thrown off his bike onto the freeway. He had the presence of mind to get himself out of the way of oncoming traffic and get to the shoulder. As he stepped down on his left foot he knew something was wrong. Once he got himself off the road, he called 911. He wrapped his foot, or what was left, as half of his left foot was missing. He was airlifted to John Muir and had emergency surgery. Three days later his left leg was amputated below the knee.  
The life of Ray and Tiffany has changed drastically because of a person who decided to drive under the influence with no insurance.
