Hello World,
My name is Ansel. I am 26 years old and I started Cameo Productions almost 3 years ago. Cameo is a media production company specializing in photo and video production. I am at a critical turning point in my career growth, where the equipment I own is the limiting factor in the quality of jobs that I can produce. I am a filmmaker, photographer, fire performer, artist, craftsman, and hard worker. My girlfriend and I work multiple jobs to make Cameo a sustainable practice. I have a wonderful opportunity this year to partake in the film and media team at Burning Man, however the camera that I have does not have the full frame sensor needed to capture the kind of footage we will be shooting (low light, in motion, etc). In order to purchase the Mark III needed to capture these moments, I'm hoping for support from the community. Seeing as how one of the founding principles of Burning Man is gifting, I thought this would be the perfect platform. I will then gift back to the community documentation of the extraordinary effort put in by artists, activists and community builders.
Your donation will go towards the purchase of a Mark iii camera body and towards some of the expense of protecting our equipment in the rough terrain of the Black Rock Desert where dust storms and high (and low) temperatures are a real factor.
Cameo stands for Creative Arts Management & Entertainment Organization. It is intended to serve the artist community by providing media resources for commercial / promotional purposes. Our aim is to arm artists with the coverage needed to propel them to the next level in their endeavours.
