My sweet mother fell on February 2nd 2014 and suffered a severe brain injury. After months of rehab, she is no longer improving and will not regain any quality of life. On Friday, August 15th she was rushed to the emergency room in respiratory distress resulting in pneumonia. We have decided to withdrawal all treatment and let her go so that her suffering will end. Hospice is currently providing comfort measures until that time.
A few years ago, my mom's life insurance was cancelled on accident and this was very devastaing for her. We took out a new policy but will not pay until May 2015. We simply can't justify extending her life so that we have the funds to give her the final resting place that she wanted and deserved. We are trying to raise enough money for her funeral expenses. Any additional money that is raised above and beyond funeral expenses will be given to the American Cancer Society in her honor. Mom is a 23 year survivor of lung and brain cancer. She was a true survivor and was very proud to share her story with others.
We only have a few days to try and raise our money! Please help our family put my mother to rest.
