Show love for Chris

On the evening of August 15th 2014 around 7:30 Chris (my sweet very healthy 15 yr boy) came into my room complaining of an excruciating headache. I didn't think much of it so went and grabbed him some Tylenol, meanwhile he began to vomit and sweat profusely until he seizured. He was transported to our local ER where we told he had a bleed in his brain and needed to be airlifted to a childrens hospital in Los Angeles. So for the past 24 hours we have been in Cedar Sinai's PICU. A drain was placed to relive any swelling to the brain and CT scans have confirmed a diagnosis of Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) an abnormal connections betweens arteries and veins. Blood flows too quickly from the arteries and punches on the walls of the veins. This can weaken the veins and cause them to bulge and get twisted and burst like in Christopher's case. Surgery has not been scheduled yet. I share this with you friends and family in need of support as this was totally unexpected. I thank you in advance. Please share.
