Our son, Christopher Johnson has worked diligently putting in countless hours to work towards his goal of playing football at the collegiate level. During the past year his goal has been to play in the Blue-Grey All American High School Football Bowl Game.
His talent and hard work have paid off impressing coaches and scouts all over the United States and he was recently selected as a player in the BLUE-GREY EAST-WEST ALL-AMERICAN BOWL to be held on December 14, 2014 at the AT&T Stadium – Home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Arlington, Texas. There were nearly 6750 young men trying for chance and it is a huge accomplishment and honor for him to be chosen.
Playing in this game will afford Chris a HUGE opportunity to be seen by scouts from Universities and Colleges from all over the United States which will bring him one step closer to the dream of playing football on the collegiate level.
Chris is a starting Varsity Football Player at Clark High School in San Antonio and is one of only a small handful of 3 year varsity starters and we have sent him to countless football camps and combines all over Texas to help him achieve his dream. You will find Chris spending hours on end at the high school gym and on the football field but he is also an excellent student maintaining his grades as he is entering his senior year.
Many people have reached out to us and offered to help Chris be able to play in the BLUE-GREY EAST-WEST ALL AMERICAN BOWL and suggested setting up a Go Fund Me account to aide us in the expenses for him to participate. The cost of the equipment, jersey's etc for the game are $1700 plus the travel expenses to get him there and a $550 non-refundable deposit must be made by September 1, 2014.
All donations made to this account will go solely for this opportunity and Chris, his mother and I are grateful for any help - big or small - in helping our son achieve the dream that he is working so hard for.
