Gina Jalbert Memorial Fund

Gina was a world class wheelchair tennis player who inspired others to reach for the stars. She lived life with all her might despite her disability.

I'm not one to ask for help and try to cover the bases in life, but this is truly an extentuating circumstance. Gina was an amazing little sister, friend, and person who battled life threatening conditions for the past 14 years after being born with Spina Bifida and given little chance of living past age 30. Still, she made it to 38 years old. In the span of 24 hours, she went from feeling well to passing unexpectedly.

My heart breaks personally and for my mom as well. Gina was her baby, and mom sat by her side as she passed. We lost my dad, Jerry Jalbert, on New Years night from a terminal cancer diagnosis that claimed his life in 8 weeks. He was the sole provider for Gina and mom.

I am still struggling to pay down the expenses from dad's passing, and I am now faced with Gina's final expenses. I have been working to piece together income after a sudden lay off from teaching, and I have been struggling to meet basic expenses for the family. Now we are faced with Gina's final needs.

We need help. Any help is greatly and deeply appreciated in this time of tremendous loss. A heart felt thank you to all that help in any way, be it funds or simply passing this on to others.
