Rozzie Brown-Darden – if you ever had the opportunity to sit in Rozzie’s chair, then you are one of the many who was anointed with her gifted hands and undeniable ability to style anyone’s hair to the utmost perfection.
She was a phenomenal beautician known with the “growing hands”. But to many of her clients she was a vessel of grace. It was her contagious smile and words of wisdom that would nourish lost souls and grow starving spirits as she witnessed and always gave her testaments of faith. So not only did you get up from her chair with a “new hair-do but a new you” as well.
On November 30th, as we all began to prepare for the upcoming holidays and festivities, we never imagined that we would be preparing a memorial service for our beloved Rozzie. Her untimely and unexpected death has left us all devastated. There are no words to console a husband who has lost his lifeline, a six year old who doesn’t quite understand why his Mom is not coming back, and a son who’s a Senior in school, wondering why his Mom won’t be there for the day she had so long anticipated.
Only time and prayer will heal our grieving hearts, but in the interim, we’d like to raise enough money for Rozzie’s funeral/memorial services as well as providing financial
assistance to Sean (husband) who is temporarily unable to work as he and the boys try to adjust without his wife and their mother. The money will go directly to the Darden family. We all are truly heartbroken but amid our sufferings we can smile in knowing Rozzie is definitely making Heaven even more beautiful with her unique styling tips. We love you and yearn for the day until we all meet again.
