Service Fees for Luis F. Surla

On August 13th, 2014, Luis F. Surla took his last breaths in the comfort of his home and in the company of loved ones. Diagnosed with stage IV Lung Cancer, he spent the last months of his life doing what he loved to do most, spending time with his family. He is survived by his ten children: Luis, Susan, Carmelo, Carmela, Luis II, Marie, Luis III, Joseph, Josias, Theresa, and wife, Teresita.
Luis was a man who never seemed to ask for help, but was always the first to offer both himself and his time. He took care of his loved ones and nurtured the relationships around him. His family knew him as a "funny guy "who easily became the life of the party, but also exemplified a level of discipline inherent in all good parents. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten, and although I did not know the man personally, I had the pleasure of listening to Joseph reminisce and reflect on his father's character. The first words that came out of Joseph's mouth were, "He was strong for his family."
Let us now do our part to be strong for the Surla family as they grieve, heal, and overcome such a tragic loss. Please donate to the fund to assist the Surla family with their Father's Service Fees so that they can focus on what's truly important in these trying times, each other.
