Jessica's Treatment Fund
This is Jessica's story. Jessica is a wife, mother, friend, and fighter. In the Summer of 2015, Jessica was diagnosed with cancer in her jaw as well as one of her kidneys. Though she lives in Florida, she had to travel to Birmingham, AL for her cancer procedures. After hours of surgeries, including the removal of her cancerous kidney, partial removal of her jaw, and reconstructive surgery to move bone from her leg and place it in her jaw, Jessica was cancer free. Her recovery was long and painful, spending weeks using a feeding tube, and months to physically recover from the multiple surgeries. With the support of her husband, Andrew, her 3 young children, friends, family, and co-workers Jessica was able to beat her cancer and return to her life, though it would be forever changed. Recently, Jessica recently returned to Birmingham for follow up screenings and tests and was again diagnosed with a tumor in her abdomen near where her kidney used to be. On January 18th Jessica will be returning to Birmingham, with her family by her side, to undergo surgery yet again. The stay in Birmingham is extremely costly to the family in many ways. Not only are there the expenses of the drive to and from, but there is also the hotel stay, meals, and the loss of Jessica's income. Additionally, while Andrew is by Jessica's side, his income suffers as well. These costs are coming soon and your help would be greatly appreciated. The hotel alone will cost the family over $700. Your contribution will allow Jessica to worry about what's most important right now, beating cancer again, and give tremendous piece of mind to the family. This is Jessica's story and with your help, there will be another happy ending.
