Our 22 year old daughter Tia is in the fight of her life! She has been sick for the last 6-8 years and has been misdiagnosed with everything from fibromyalgia,lupus,chronic fatigue syndrome, and other things. This past June we had her tested and she was positive for Lyme disease. She has gotten progressively worse and so bad now that she has problems with walking, talking, balance, thinking, she has fatigue, muscle and joint aches and pains, her nervous system is fried. She went to a physician today who is Lyme Literate and specializes in chronic Lyme disease treatment. However this treatment consists of placing a port in her chest for IV antibiotic therapy and antibiotic and nutritional IV therapy for a minimum of 8 weeks up to a maximum of 16 weeks. Insurance companies DO NOT pay for this treatment! Their protocol is three to four weeks of oral antibiotics and you are better! She has been on several different oral antibiotics since the end of April and she is worse not better. She is at a critical stage now and her treating physicians request payment the day of treatment. There is no net 30 or bill me later. If we can't raise the much needed funds to help our baby girl she will get progressively worse and be debilitated permanently. She's at a point now where today's Dr. Visit I had to help her dress and hold her arm while walking her around so that she would not fall. She is confused and slow to respond and her ability to think is not clear. This child still wants to attend school and complete her medical lab tech program so she can go on to be a Dr. Of pathology. Won't you please help our baby girl get the treatment she so desperately needs?
