Chyenne's Dialysis & Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
First, we would like to thank everyone for the overflowing love, favors, prayers, generosity, kindness, support and for helping us spiritually all through out this difficult time. Our daughter, Chyenne, is 18 years old and one of six (6) siblings. She had no symptoms, at all, until after Christmas when she began to have some nausea. December and January came and went. February, we noticed that Chyenne had lost significant weight for not dieting. So, we made her a doctor appointment to be seen. They told her she had some sinus issues going on, but nothing to worry about. We thought it may be the birth control which she had started months before. So, the doctor took her off of it, to see if that helped with the nausea. It was about 2 weeks after that, Chyenne just did not look ok. She had lost 25lbs and was pasty and grey looking. Her father took her to the ER after she got off of work on February 17th. Chyenne was reluctant still and did not want to go. Thank God they went! Chyenne was in full-blown Acute Renal Failure! This came as a complete shock to all of us. Chyenne was the one that was never sick growing up. We all thought she was so healthy, all of us did, including her. We still don’t know why, until her biopsy appointment, but her Kidneys have completely shut down. She has to have dialysis 3 times a week for about 4 hours at a time. She will then have a biopsy to see if they can figure out why and how this happened. She will then, God willing, be put on the Transplant list. We also hope to qualify her for at home dialysis at some point. Chyenne is a very special young lady. She is very active at our church. She has a huge heart and is always willing to help anyone in need. She is a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and person in general, all the way around. She loves to sing and is on the Youth Praise Team at church. She is a high school graduate, and college student, that was working her first job at the local Chili’s Restaurant when she fell ill.  Enjoying life and being a teenager that was waiting to get her license. She has so much more living to do. Her youth and her attitude will get her through this. I wish there were more people like her in this world. She can, has and will make such a difference and have a positive impact on anyone she comes in contact with <3 Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover a significant portion of the costs of her treatment and/or transplant and we must pay the high deductibles among other incurred medical expenses out of pocket. No donation is too small, and every little bit helps.
