Hi Lo Chair for Martin

Martin is a 4 year old boy with several rare diseases - Severe MTHFR Deficiency Syndrome, Mitochondrial Defects, Severe Renal Fanconi Syndrome, Seizure Disorder, Cortical Visual Impairment and Global Developmental Delays. Martin's rare kidney disease left him with very low bone density. Small falls cause fractures that set his development back.  So, while we celebrate his recent crawling, pulling to stand and cruising we must position him in his home chair, a Leckey Hi Lo chair, to keep him from harm when unsupervised.  Since I am a single mom I use our hi lo chair throughout the day when I need to shower, cook, help his sister with homework, etc, just like many new parents use high chairs or play pens.  Martin recently outgrew his hi lo chair creating a need for a new chair, which unfortunately is denied by Iowa insurance.  We hope the community will help us raise the funds we need to get him a new chair and keep him safe. We are so grateful for every dollar donated.  Our circle of friends shrunk since our lives changed with Martin, so please pass on the word to any friends that might be interested in helping.  Thank you.
