HELP THE HIPPO-THERAPY HORSES

We are a riding education and hippo therapy centre in Nigeria that brings both autistic and cerebral palsy chidlren together with horses.   We are facing imminent evacuation as a result of the Ebola virus outbreak in the country.   This will place the wellbeing of our horses in great jeopardy.  We are seeking urgent donations to cover the cost of feed and staff wages.  We urgently need a vehicle to collect grass hay and other feed items to keep the centre running until we can return - we have no idea when this will be.  Part of our work also includes the rescue, rehabilitation and education in horse welfare, including farrier skills, nutrition and training.  We also care for captured African Grey Parrots that can no longer be released into the wild and other rescue animals, we have had hawks, kestrels, dogs and cats - to name but a few in our care.   We must sustain the feeding and care of these animals until we can return.  Our mission is to continue the to promote the joining of children and adults with a variety of disabilities together with horses.  The benefits are profound and astonishing.
