The Bistro LeCroy has been a first rate restaurant and gathering place, for the City of Galveston, for over 12 years.
Like many businesses, in this city, it suffered a severe blow from Hurricane Ike. After clearing out 6 feet of mud and water, their equipment was a total loss. Unfortunately, many of their insurance claims from that storm remain unpaid, and they are still struggling to rebound from that blow.
After rebuilding at a new location, the Bistro received still another round of bad luck last Friday, 08 August, when an electrical fire did serious damage to the kitchen.
Still recovering from the financial losses caused by Hurricane Ike, they had little cash reserves.
This means that Tommie and Barbara need some financial help to recover from the fire, to get back in business, and put their loyal staff back to work, allowing the Bistro to, once again, play its important role in our community.
This fire, and the subsequent interruption in their income, has left many bills to pay, and they are quickly becoming past due with no means to generate any income. These bills include state and federal taxes.
The power outage from the electrical fire also caused a loss of some of their food.
The most immediate need is to repair the electrical damage and buy a new ice machine.
Please help us to spread the word and raise the money needed to get the Bistro back in business.
NOTE: ALL DONATIONS WILL BE TRANSFERRED DIRECTLY TO THE BISTRO LECROY BANK ACCOUNT.
