On Thursday December 21, Cynthia asked her boss if she could go home as she was feeling very unwell. Her boss decided to not just let her go, but to drive her. On the way out though, Cynthia collapsed and hit her head pretty badly. It caused a Basal Skull Fracture which in turned caused a leak of cerebro spinal fluid through her nose.

As of this writing she is also being treated for meningitis. They aren't positive she has it, but she has some symptoms so they are treating for it.  She will be in hospital for at least another two weeks (no visitors).  After that she's not going to be able to work for probably at least a couple months.

During that time I (Shane) will be staying home to take care of her and Chance.  All of this together means a pretty hefty drain on our already very slim budget. Just the money to park at the hospital every day for the next couple weeks will be $200. Never mind that I'm going to be on 90% pay and I have no idea how long WCB takes or how much they'll pay. As much pain as Cynthia is in, it's when she thinks of how are we going to pay for all this that she starts crying.

So the goal of this is to help us get through the rough patch until we can both start working again. I'm actually not really sure how much that will take, but $2000 seems like a good start anyway.
