Cara store to store cycle challenge

We had two large milestone events planned at Cara for 2020, the 10th anniversary of the 'Cara Bundoran Challenge' and the small matter of 20 years in business at CARA Pharmacy on the 1st July 2020, we had big plans for both events with the main focus on a big thank you to our communities for their support over the past 20 years.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was impossible to run the Cara Bundoran Challenge event earlier this year and having examined all possibilities to try and reschedule it for later in 2020, deferring it until 2021 was deemed the most viable option. In terms of celebrating our 20 years in business, well the party will have to be put on hold, sure it will be our 21st next year!!!

But that does not mean that we cannot let either go without doing something and giving back to our communities, we have decided to set our joint MD Canice the 'Cara store to store cycle challenge'  cycling between all our stores from Cork to Killybegs, a total distance of 700kms.

During each leg of the cycle, Canice will be supported by members of our staff from each of the locations who will cycle alongside him. The goal is to complete the cycle in 5 days, from Monday 10th August beginning in Cork to finishing up in Killybegs on Friday 14th August.

All donations made will go directly to the beneficiaries of the rescheduled Cara Bundoran Challenge -  The Marie Keating Foundation, The Asthma Society of Ireland and Bluestack Special Needs Foundation. These are three very worthy causes and we are glad to have this opportunity to help them through this very difficult time.
