After over four months without opening, and having already used all of its saving funds, Origen Cowork begins a crowdfunding campaign to allow the community to continue having a space to manage and develop projects and its team, and to meet the financial commitments that have not been suspended during these quarantine times: rent, utilities, taxes, among others.

Help us keep our doors open!

We started Origen Cowork from scratch two years ago. Our entrepreneurial spirit led us to invest in a space that served as a shelter for other projects, new ventures. On that path, we risked everything: we remodeled a house, learned new rules, participated in competitions, created alliances, established solid links with suppliers and clients, and saw wonderful ideas thrive in a nurturing space for growth and development for those who were far from home.

It has been a process of learning, fallbacks, and transformations but we are very proud of each step.

Now, like many other ventures in the world, we are going through very difficult times.

We wish we wouldn't have to be writing these lines, but the quarantine is brutally affecting us: it's been over 120 days since we last opened to the public.

We have done everything in our hands and we are exploring new options that we hope will work so we don't have to permanently close our doors.

Every day we hear news of places that can no longer be sustained and this is our last shot.

We have decided to create this campaign to keep Origen Cowork alive.

We are reaching out to all of those individuals, organizations, or initiatives that may offer some help, but especially to those who have shared with us and have gotten to know our work.

If you spent time at our little house in Palermo, if you came to our space and met wonderful people, we hope that you may give us a hand during these difficult times, allowing us to support this project that is also home to other projects, at least until we can hold on by ourselves again.

We will put everything we have on this. We are certain that if you help us get through these hard times, we can get back on our feet and keep making a positive impact in our community.

We have learned the necessary lessons to become stronger, be more united, and offer much more to our neighborhood, to our community, to our projects.

We don't want the quarantine to give us the final thrust.

¡Ayúdanos a mantener nuestras puertas abiertas!

Comenzamos Origen Cowork desde cero hace ya dos años. Nuestra fuerza emprendedora nos llevó a invertir en un espacio que sirviera de cantera para otros proyectos, otros emprendimientos. Y en ese camino, nos jugamos todo: remodelamos una casa, aprendimos nuevas reglas, participamos en concursos, creamos alianzas, establecimos vínculos sólidos con proveedores y clientes, vimos crecer ideas maravillosas y fuimos un espacio de crecimiento y desarrollo para quienes estaban lejos de casa.

Ha sido un proceso de mucho aprendizaje, caídas, transformaciones y nos sentimos muy orgullosos por cada paso.

Ahora, como muchos emprendimientos en el mundo, atravesamos un momento muy complicado.

No quisiéramos estar escribiendo estas líneas, pero la cuarentena nos está afectando brutalmente: tenemos más de 120 días sin poder abrir nuestras puertas.

Hemos recurrido a todas las posibilidades a nuestro alcance y estamos probando ideas que, esperamos, van a funcionar para no tener que cerrar definitivamente.

Todos los días escuchamos noticias de emprendimientos que no pueden sostenerse más y queremos hacer un último intento.

Hemos decidido crear esta campaña para mantener vivo a Origen Cowork.

Estamos recurriendo a toda aquella persona, organización e iniciativa que quiera ayudarnos. Pero en especial a quienes nos conocen.

Si pasaste un tiempo en nuestra casita en Palermo, si viniste a hacer algún evento y conociste gente hermosa, sabemos que puedes darnos una mano en este momento tan difícil y permitirnos sostener este proyecto que también es casa de otros proyectos, al menos hasta que podamos volver a valernos por nuestra cuenta.
Vamos a dar todo de nosotros mismos. Sabemos y confiamos en que, si nos ayudas a pasar esta temporada, podemos levantarnos y seguir impactando positivamente en nuestro entorno.

Aprendimos las lecciones necesarias para volver más fuertes, estar más unidos y ofrecer mucho más a nuestro barrio, a nuestra comunidad, a nuestros emprendimientos.

No queremos que la cuarentena nos dé la estocada final.
