Help Milen battle cancer

For the last four years, Milen Georgiev (age 34), a beloved father of two boys and a brave fireman, has been fighting the heavy diagnosis “Hodgkin’s disease”: blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system.

During that time he has undergone a great number of chemotherapies, radiation treatments and autologous stem cell transplantation in his home country Bulgaria ( Europe).

Despite the serious treatments, the doctors confirmed that the cancer is persistent and has spread in several vital organs of his body: lungs, liver, diaphragm. 

In December 2015, Milen was given great hope. Hematologists from the USA suggested to include him in a clinincal trial with a new medicine at the “City of Hope” (California) that could help him fight for his life and provide a chance for a total recovery.

For his fast enrollment to the clinic, Milen and his family have managed to collect the admission fee of USD 75 000 via own funds and donation campaigns in Bulgaria, Europe and USA. The remaining amount for the treatment expenses, reach USD 40 000, way beyond the financial abilities of the young family.

Despite all the challenges, Milen is keeping strong. He is always smiling , joking, he has dreams. Whenever asked about his condition, he explains calmly, without going into many details. Prefers to speak about matters that do not revolve around how he feels, he'd rather know what is important to his friends, family, colleagues. 

Let's give Milen a chance to see his kids grow up, to love, laugh and keep on telling his jokes and share stories, to save lives, make plans and fulfil his dreams.
