My friend William has saved my life.
Since I was a little girl, William was always there for me. He would walk me to school (and then I would walk him home). He would sneak into my car and sleep under my seats and surprise me on my way to my first job. He was there for me when I moved away to college and was homesick. He was always the first to hug me and make me feel better at the worst of times, like everything was going to be okay. My William hugged me through a horrible domestic violence incident I was the victim of, and now its my turn to try and save him.
I know some people don't believe that animals matter as much as humans do. But my William is an exception to all beliefs... He is more then my friend, he is my family.
William has an abscess in his mouth, causing him extreme pain and rendering him unable to eat. He is slowly starving himself to death.
The vet says other then his infection, he is healthy and has no reason to believe he won't make a full recovery.
The vet bill is just under $2,000.00 - and I am unable to pay this amount off my credit card.
Currently, I am in the midst of rebuilding my life, post a breakup that ended in domestic violence situation in which I lost everything and had to start over. I was laid off last month and it feels like I am drowning.
I hate asking for help, but saving William, who has always saved me, is more important then pride.
I just need a little help saving the little creature who made the bad days just that much better. It's the least I could do for him - because he has done so much for me.
Thank you for all your support.
