Help Better Bo! Donate by Wed 8/13

Thank you to everyone on the FB group who has committed to helping. For those of you who don't know, my dog, Bo, and I have been on the adventure of a lifetime traveling through the northwest. Currently we are in Anchorage, Alaska. On Saturday night I was pulled over to camp on the side of one of the Alaskan highways. Bo was off in the bushes going potty. I'll admit I was texting with a friend, so my attention was there. He crossed the highway, which isn't too busy at midnight. Nine times out of ten he would've crossed this road, peed and come back safe and sound. This time, though, he did not. I heard the screech of the brakes, the thud from impact and then his cry. My heart sank as I ran over to check if he was alive. A very intense moment of my life. Luckily there was a 24 hour vet nearby and we got him checked out. He will need surgery to correct his fractured pelvis. This is a $5000 operation and I do not have that laying around. Not to mention there are no Bank of Americas here in AK and my debit card was cancelled a few weeks back from fraudulent charges. It's been quite a mess, but I have been working hard to get my baby what he needs. I am only asking for $1000 since I have already taken some loans that will satisfy the rest. I just want to say that I am so thankful for the goodness of life when people come together to help each other when things like this happen. It reminds us all of the most important thing we can give thanks for-our lives. Love you all and thank you for reading. Any amount you can help with is appreciated.
