Helping A Teammate
All through JFL (Junior Football League) and as a 4 year member of the Fieldcrest High School football team, Lance Robbins never let the degenerative eye condition he was born with deter him. Ocular Albinism severely limits Lance's vision and, even though it put him at a huge disadvantage along the defensive line on the football field, he never used it as an excuse. Lance was the ultimate teammate, always giving 100% effort and displaying an infectious competitiveness that made all of his teammates better.
Unfortunately, Lance's eye condition has continued to deteriorate and he has permanently lost sight in his left eye. Lance continues to battle with limited vision in his right eye, making learning difficult as he attends classes at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Il.
The Fieldcrest Football program is asking for your help as they try to give something back to a teammate that gave so much to them. Lance recently tested a pair of glasses from eSight. "I couldn't believe I could read street signs and I could actually see the faces of the people I was talking to!" Lance said. We are trying to raise the money needed to purchase a pair of these glasses for Lance by Friday, March 8th. The cost of $5,950.00 is not covered by insurance. A link to the eSight page can be found here: https://www.esighteyewear.com/homex
Please donate any amount of money to our Go Fund Me page, or drop off a donation payable to Fieldcrest Football (please write for Lance in the check memo) at any of the Fieldcrest schools or at any Meyer Jochums Agency office in Toluca, Wenona, or Minonk.
Thank you very much for helping make our teammate's life a little easier!
Sincerely,
Fieldcrest Football
