Please Help Michelle With Her Kidney Transplant

Michelle Resuello, 28, lives in the Calaanan community of Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, the Philippines, with her parents.
In early March 2016, Michelle, who was applying with an employment agency to work abroad, had a medical checkup, required by the agency at The Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
During this checkup it was discovered the she had been born with one kidney and it was in the advanced stages of failing.
“I had been experiencing some pain in my lower back and feeling tired but I never thought it was related to my kidney," she says.
“I was shocked at what the doctor told me and that unless I had an operation, my chances of survival were very low.”
Within days, dark brown spots began to appear all over her body. She was told that unless she was placed on kidney dialysis immediately she would not survive more than a few days.
One of her relatives, Josephine Tilap, who works at the hospital, stepped in to help her.
“I arranged for her to get the dialysis, says Josephine after I consulted with the administration department.”
“After two treatments she improved.”
“She is continuing with the treatment on-going, which will stabilized her condition, until she can have a transplant, but the time period is still very critical.”

It has been over a year now since Michelle discovered her kidney was failing.
She is undergoing kidney dialysis two times per week but was told by doctors she should have a transplant as she is becoming weaker.
“It is very difficult for me everyday,” she says.
“I have difficulty sleeping and breathing. It often gets so bad that I need to be admitted to the hospital and placed on oxygen for up to four hours.”
Recently she was told that by doctors at The Northern Mindanao Medical Center that if she has a donor, the cost of the transplant would be free , provided she can prove she can afford the cost of the anti-rejection drugs after the transplant which will be taken daily for the rest of her life.
The costs she needs to cover are the tests prior to the transplant, to make sure her donor and her are a match. This procedure takes several days. This cost alone is $3,000 USD
The anti-rejection drugs are estimated for the first three months of approximately $1,000 per month. After three months the drugs are adjusted once her system accepts the medication. The anti-rejection drug cost then will decrease to approximately $500 per month.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, will help her by covering the majority of the cost of the anti-rejection drugs needed for her lifetime. She will need to cover some of this cost which is not known yet, until after the transplant.
Michelle’s father Noel Resuello, 53, has offered to be a kidney donor.
“I am willing to donate my kidney to heal her kidney failure and as I want her to be happy and healthy and able to live a normal life," he explains.
“Michelle is in a critical condition, and if there someone to help my daughter i would be so very thankful for that, if she can be helped.”
