Love for Lisa

Lisa was recently diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. She will undergo 8 rounds of chemotherapy with a goal of reducing the mass prior to surgical removal in January. On a recent PET scan they found metastasis to her lumbar spine, so she may be receiving radiation therapy in addition to the chemotherapy. 

Lisa raised 2 young men as a working single mother and has continued to work hard and pursue higher education. She recently completed her Master's degree in Social Work and is working as a behavioral health social worker helping others to manage and cope with mental illness in order to live their best lives.

Since her initial diagnosis, Lisa missed several days of work to finalize her treatment plan and determine the full scope of her diagnosis. She will likely miss much more as she continues more testing and receives treatment. She recently got a new job and does not qualify for FMLA and has no PTO or sick time. The goal of this campaign is to help Lisa pay for necessary immediate expenses and future medical and living expenses due to possible future lost wages. All money raised will be put into trust that will pay for this purpose. 


We appreciate any and all good vibes and prayers throughout this journey; that Lisa will feel well enough to continue to work as much as possible, that the doctors have wisdom in treatment decisions, and that Lisa's body responds to the treatments.
